This page describes how to pay AXCS for your MWC Lodging Deposit or any other payments due for the coming MWC trip.
Please note terms on all Lodging Balance payments at the bottom of this page.

One payment option is to pay via a check/money order payable to AXCS and send via postal mail to AXCS. The trip deposit paid with a check/money order is $750 per person ($1,500 for a couple). Mail your check (payable to AXCS) to:
AXCS
PO Box 604
Bend, OR 97709

NOTE: Please be aware of media reports regarding mail theft issues. If you choose the "check in the mail" payment method, please be aware of this risk and take whatever precautions you can to "disguise" your check package. Writing with a gel pen seems to be a good tip to discourage theft.

The other second payment toption is to pay via on-line credit/debit card payment — being aware that PayPal credit/debit card processing fees add roughly 2.2% to the total amount you pay.

To do the credit/debit card on-line option, follow these steps:

1.) Click on the "Buy Now" button below based on whether you want to pay a deposit for 1 or 2 people.

2.) In the next screen, most people will select the "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" option (bottom oval shaped button). Alternatively, if you regularly use a PayPal account to pay for things, you are welcome to log-in and use that option as well.

3.) In the "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" screen you just fill out what is asked, submit, and you have paid your deposit(s)!

AXCS Lodging Package Terms & Deadlines (updated June 26)

Note: AXCS urges all skiers to have travel insurance to protect your trip investment, particularly once we approach various hotel cancellation deadlines!

-> If you cancel at any point between June 15 and August 31 and for any reason, you will be refunded all but $60 (per person) of your deposit.

-> If you cancel at any point between September 1 and October 25, you will be refunded all but $100 (per person) of your deposit.

==>>> For cancellations as of October 26 until planned late January arrival in Sappada, AXCS will retain a minimum $160 amount per person of deposits or final payments (a portion of that amount may be tax deductible) PLUS lodging property cancellation penalty policies will be enforced as follows....

-> For cancellations between October 26 and December 31, 30% of the total lodging package true cost will be non-refundable except where AXCS is able to apply all or part of your cancellation towards an allowed amount of Team USA no-penalty cancellations available to our contingent.

-> For cancellations between January 1, 2026 and 8 days before your scheduled arrival, 30% of the total lodging package true cost will be non-refundable for all bookings. The only exception in this period will be if Team USA can replace your booking with other skiers.

-> For cancellations between 7 days before your scheduled arrival or no-snow, 100% of the total lodging package true cost will be non-refundable for all bookings.

***

Notable note about all Terms & Conditions:

-> AXCS does have the ability to change your booking room status (for example, double booking changed to a single) or replace your booking (or a roommates booking) with other skiers without penalties up until the final 7 days prior to arrival. As soon as you suspect or know that you need to make changes in your booking, please notify AXCS National Director J.D. Downing ASAP so that he can try and help to reduce your penalty exposure.

-> AXCS is currently confirming the latest that exact dates of arrival and departure can be modified with all Team USA reservations. We know that date modifications can be made up until at minimum October 29 with zero penalty applied.

Additional note about Emergency Event Scenarios

Neither AXCS nor the World Masters Association (WMA) can anticipate every possible global contingency that could potentially impact the viability of the MWC taking place as scheduled. In the simplest possible terms, over the next year there will be a shared level of risk between the MWC Organizing Committee, WMA, AXCS, and every USA skier making travel plans.

To protect the interest of all organizations and individuals in worst case scenarios, WMA has contractual language built in for a partial or full refund of MWC entry fees (depending on the scenario). But when it comes to travel expenses, options for refunds or credits with airlines, ground transport, and lodging providers will entirely depend on the policies of each contracted entity.

AXCS urges all members and family members participating in MWC trips and lodging packages to familiarize yourself with all terms, deadlines, and cancellation requirements for all phases of your trip. Whenever possible, you are urged to purchase travel insurance, build in flexibility (for example, worst case flight scenario options), and make purchases with the option for refunds or credits in worst case situations.
